Hi everyone,

My name is Brenda, I was diagnosed in 2024 with Stage 3 invasive ductal carcinoma (breast cancer). As I’m now preparing for the next step in my journey to undergo a double mastectomy with reconstructive surgery as part of my treatment plan.

This next phase will take me out of work for 6–8 weeks. My surgery is out of state in Phoenix. I'm required to stay there for 2-3 weeks, where I’ll be covering my own lodging, food, and transportation—all while continuing to pay my normal monthly bills back home.

Why I’m Asking for Help:

In addition to the Travel, lodging, and meals during my out-of-state treatment, I’m still responsible for my Mortgage, utilities, groceries, and essential bills as well as Medical expenses not covered by insurance. All while I recover without income as I have exhausted all my "paid leave" at wrk from previous appointments, procedures etc.
