Gary Wesley Williams, 54, of Alvarado went to be with the Lord on Friday, June 28, 2013, in Fort Worth, Texas.
Gary was born Aug. 25, 1958, in Fort Myers, Fla. He was a loving father and grandfather. Gary was an accomplished amateur wood carver, played guitar and piano and loved to sing.
A memorial service will be held 3 p.m. Wednesday, July 3, 2013, at Cowboy Way Church in Alvarado with Pastor Dan Haby officiating.
Gary is survived by his birth mother, Barbra Bolden; birth father, Jerald Tilghman and step-mom, Linda; daughters, Nichole Williams and fiance, Justin, of North Dakota and Amanda Williams of Alvarado; sons, Jake and Brandon Williams of Alvarado; grandsons, Adain and Nathaniel Williams of North Dakota; sisters, Carol Vonnahme of Florida, Renee Koch and husband, Bob, of Iowa, Darlene West of Florida and Susie Torrez and husband, John, of Florida; and brothers, Mike Tilghman, Marcus Tilghman and wife, Dena, and Jerry Tilghman, all of Florida.
Gary was preceded in death by his adopted mother, Wanda Williams; sister, Donna Tilghman; and grandmother, Mary Vera Williams.
In lieu of flowers, we are asking for donations to help cover the cost of the memorial service.
