Help Dorothy Fight Cancer
Donation protected

We met Greg and Dorothy when we all lived in South Carolina and attended many Presbyterian Pilgrimage weekends together. They have since moved to Virginia where Greg is the pastor at Galatia Presbyterian Church in Eagle Rock near Roanoke, VA.
Dorothy's battle against breast cancer started in October 2017. Her breast cancer was advanced and she has since completed six long months of chemotherapy.

In May she had a double mastectomy as well as removal of multiple lymph nodes. She has an 8-12 week recovery followed by eight weeks of radiation therapy, then more recovery time and, finally, reconstruction surgery in Fall 2018.
Their home in Eagle Rock is over 100 miles from the University of Virginia Medical Center where Dorothy had her surgery and will need to travel to five days a week for her radiation therapy later this summer or find temporary housing in Charlottesville.

Support from family, friends, their congregation in addition to their love for the Lord has gotten them through this journey but they still have many, many months of recovery time, doctor appointments and treatments left to go.
Their church offers good health insurance but deductibles and insurance out-of-pocket expenses are overwhelming.
Greg and Dorothy bought an old farmhouse down the road from the church when they moved to Virginia with plans to repair and renovate but that progress was interrupted when Dorothy's cancer was diagnosed last October.
Their needs are great right now to help with medical expenses, travel expenses, and the much needed repairs to their farmhouse. Any amount you can give BIG or small will make a difference. Your donation may seem like a drop in the bucket but every drop counts.
