Pray For Avah

Hi my name is Ashley. I am a regular mom, living a normal regular life, with 2 great kids, and an amazing husband. Nothing in my wildest dream would have prepared us for what was about to happen. Our normal regular life got turned upside down on August 31, 2016.
Our 4 year old baby girl Avah had been feeling under the weather for the past month and after the 3rd ER visit I finally got her in to see her pedatrician. After several blood draws we were told that Avah was very anemic and that her blood count was dangerously low. So low that they admitted her immediately to Mercy in our local town, only to be transported by ambulance to a larger Mercy Hospital to see a specialist. Upon arriving she had more blood drawn, was examined, and the specialist performed a blood smear test to look at Avah's blood under a microscope. And then it came, the news that no parent should ever have to hear...your baby girl has Leukemia. What!? It was then that we were transported to St. Jude's in Memphis, TN., which is where we will have to reside for the next 8 weeks for Avah to start her intense chemo treatments.
