Flood Relief for Debbie & Jon Aske
Donation protected
At approximately 4:30 a.m. on the morning of August 24th, Debbie and Jon Aske woke up to a huge crash. Unsure of what was going on, they quickly discovered that, due to flooding, their basement walls had caved in and water was rapidly flooding their basement. Within a couple of minutes, the water had already filled up their entire basement and they knew they needed to evacuate immediately. With only the clothes on their backs and their dog, Hunter, they managed to escape. The torrential downpours brought 8 inches of rain, filling not only their basement, but also the entire main level of their home. Now that the foundation has collapsed, their home is no longer structurally sound, leaving them essentially homeless until they can hopefully repair the damages. Even now, nearly 48 hours later, they're still not able to get into their home to assess the damages completely. They not only lost their home and all its contents, but also their van and their recreational camper. Because their insurance company would not allow them to purchase flood insurance, they are not covered for any of the damages. Deb, Jon, and Hunter are all safe, but are still left with nothing but the clothes on their backs.
Debbie and Jon need all the help they can get. Donations will go toward rebuilding their home, helping them replace their personal belongings, and providing immediate necessities. Any and all donations will be greatly appreciated.
