Steve and Rita Chadwick - Flood Aid
Donation protected
On behalf of my brother, Steve Chadwick and sister-in-law, Rita King-Chadwick, we are raising funds to help them recover from the devastation of the floods that started August 13, 2016 in Baton Rouge, LA. Their home and vehicles suffered major water damage; we do know that Steve's car is completely flooded (picture attached) and Rita's is unknown as it is parked in their garage and they have not been able to go back to see the level of damage. Since where they live isn't a flood zone, they did not have flood insurance so this will be completely out-of-pocket to repair the damages. These funds will be used to repair their home, buy some new furniture since most of theirs had to be thrown out, replace computer, fix car, and anything they need like paying for hotel room while work is being done.
After being rescued via boat, they have been finding rest where they can (Costco warehouse, daughter's place of work and were fortunate enough to find vacancy at a nearby hotel as of Monday, 8/15).
Steve and Rita are incredible individuals who love the Lord and are always willing to lend a hand (both pastors, previous missionary work, hospice care, etc.).
I am Beth Chadwick Scott, Steve's older sister. Since I live in Atlanta and most of Steve's family is here I thought this would be a good way to help since we cannot be there physically. Rita King-Chadwick my sister in law is from Oklahoma.. Most of her family is there. Steve and Rita meet in Baton Rouge and made it there home after their marriage. I'm guessing that was 15 plus years ago. They have served in ministry since then.
Please help in any way you can; no donation is too small. Also, please keep them and the Baton Rouge community in your prayers and thoughts.
