Little Baby Journey’s Big Heart Surgery

Hi friends, family and loving people, I’m raising money to support my son’s mom and her newborn baby, Journey Elizabeth.
Casie and I have been doing the co-parenting thing together for going on 11 years. Although we are not in a relationship, we do our best to work together to raise our kid. She is now a single mother to a total of 3 kids, her youngest being a beautiful newborn baby girl, Journey Elizabeth Morris.
While pregnant with Journey, Casie found out that Journey would need a heart surgery after birth to repair he heart valves. A very scary thing to find out as a mother.
Today was the day that surgery was supposed to take place but shortly after Journey was put to sleep, Doctors quickly realized that her throat was too small to fit the oxygen tube, which put a halt to the surgery.
After some discussion, it was determined that Journey would need an alternate surgery to enlarge her airway before she could have the needed heart repair procedure.
Casie was informed that surgery will happen in the next couple days but Journey would be required to stay inpatient for 3 weeks at Cincinnati Children’s while she recovers from the surgery. After recovery of the first surgery, she will then be scheduled, for the heart surgery which will keep her in the hospital for another 1-2 weeks.
As a self-employed fitness instructor and single mother, this puts Casie in a position where she could use the support of friend and family like us so I felt moved to set up this GoFundMe for anyone who would like to help Casie and Journey with any financial contributions during this difficult time.
