Thanksgiving 2015

Hi, I am Kelly, mom of five. Yes, I said five. My first born, Danny, the one who showed me what love is, is on a long journey. His journey has him battling Acute Myelogenous
Leukemia. It is cancer of the blood.
His Chemotherapy treatment has us living in the hospital for well over a month. Hospital living is hard. Day in and day out, he is surrounded by the same things; Doctors, nurses, transfusions, platelets, pills, etc. Every day. Thankfully, he is receiving exemplary care from his Oncology Team at Montefiore Medical Center (Moses Campus), right here in The Bronx.
As a family unit, unfortunately, we all suffer. Work suffers, because I have to tend to my son and ensure that we are advocating for him twenty four hours, seven days a week.

May 15-17 at Einstein Hospital under evaluation and keeping fevers under control
