Medical Expenses for Kunkel Family

I never thought I would ever need to do something like this, or fight as hard as I've needed to the past few months at my age, but here I am. My name is Josh Kunkel. A little over 2 months ago at the age of 36, I was diagnosed with what was thought to be gastric cancer at the time. A few weeks later I went to the ER with severe abdominal pains. It was then diagnosed that the tumor was in fact in my colon, intruding into my stomach and causing blockage. I had surgery on my birthday, April 12th, to have everything removed and am now recovering. However, despite all of the doom and gloom, I am happy to announce I have no evidence of disease as of this moment! I still have to do chemo every 2 weeks for the next 6 months, which will hopefully kill off any random cancer cells still left. So, after having the scare of a lifetime and the thought of possibly leaving my wife and 1 year old daughter too soon, they gave me the strength I needed to beat this. Unfortunately, now we are left with the massive medical expenses. Even though the amount is enormous, I honestly can't thank the surgeons, doctors and nurses enough for taking care of me and giving me my life back. Even though I'm embarrassed to do so, I am asking you folks, some whom I've never met, to help out in any way you can. Every little bit is very appreciated by myself and my family. Even if you just share this page, that is doing us a great favor. Thank you for taking the time to read this. Have a wonderful day and take full advantage of everyday we have on this earth.
