Love for Thad
A week before Christmas (2014)Thad was taken to the ER as advised by his doctor because of his low hemoglobin count. That same night Thad was transferred to UCLA Hospital Pediatric Intensive Care Unit. Thad was suspected to have Lukemia.
The following day, the blood tests confirmed that Thad has Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL).
Thad is only a little over one year old. Thad spent his first week in the hospital undergoing lumber punctures, blood transfusion, and chemotherapy. Thad has now done chemo therapy, cart-t cell, and a bone marrow transplant.
Thad is going to need a lot of medical care in the coming weeks. As you can imagine this has been quite a shock for Amber and Kris. They have had their hands full with medical tests, doctor fees, growing hospital bill. They don't know what the total cost of treatment will be or how long Thad will be in the hospital.
We felt we needed to start something to help alleviate any financial stress so they can focus on Thad's treatment and healing. The money donated will be used to pay for medical expenses not covered by insurance and to help with daily living expenses.
Please keep Thad in your thoughts and prayers. Thank you very much for your support.
