Transportation 4 Kids in Mtuba, SA
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Willem Bos. For two and a half weeks this summer I traveled to a small village called Mtubatuba in Kwazulu Natal, South Africa, two hours north of Durban near the Indian Ocean. I traveled with a non-profit soccer and service organization called Woza Soccer. www.wozasoccer.com
Along with 3 co-leaders and 7 other players, I had the chance to become part of the Mtuba Football Academy family. Having the chance to play with and learn from the Mtuba coaches and players gave me an experience that I'll never forget. It will remind me every day how lucky I am to have the opportunities that I'm given.
Mtuba Football Academy consists of a U-13, U-15, U-17, and a girls team, and it's purpose, since there's no fee for the players, is to give them an opportunity to play the game they love, while also keeping them out of trouble. The main challenge that faces the academy is transportation. Players have to walk miles and miles to get to and from practice (some of them barefoot).
The Woza Soccer group and I have made it our goal to raise money to purchase a used van that will allow the Mtuba Football Academy to provide the players with transportation. It our goal as a group to raise $5,000 by November.
It would mean so much to me, the Mtuba Football Academy players, and Woza Soccer, if you could make a small donation towards this cause. My experience in South Africa has changed me for the better, and while I hope to go back one day and help the community again, this is the most we can do to help for now.
Thank you so much for your time and for considering this opportunity,
Willem
