SV Class of 86-Shell Huff Memorial
Donation protected
Calling all Sky View Graduates ( Class of 1986 )! and anyone else who knew and loved Shell Huff.
Our class has decided to create a fund for those who may be in need in our class of 1986. For our 30 year reunion (this year!) we would like to focus on one family in need of our help.
The family we have decided to focus on this year is Shell Huff's family:)

My name is Marty Israelsen;) As you may know , our classmate Shell Huff, passed away about 13 years ago from complications with his kidneys, gallbladder & pancreas which lead to a heart attack. Shell and I both worked at a company called Spillman Technologies as Software Engineers at the time of his passing. I really look up to Shell and feel I got to know him so much better after High School. He did not finish his degree at College, but I consider him a genius computer programmer with skills and forsight that I have not seen matched since!
He left behind his beautiful wife Tammy and 4 precious daughters (Tammy was pregnant with Tamsen at the time of Shell's passing).
Lauralyn: 20
Shelby: 18
Sarah: 16
Tamsen: 12
Tammy and Shell also had a baby boy who died about 2 years prior to Shell's passing.
His family has struggled to get along ever since his passing. Soon after his passing they moved to Washington State to be closer to family for much needed help.
At the age of 8 Tamsen was diagnosed with “Franconi Anemia” which is the same disease their baby boy died from. Tamsen had a bone marrow transplant. Tamsen and Tammy spent a 9 month stint in a Ronald McDonald house while Tamsen received needed treatments.

Recently, Tamsen has improved enough that the doctors have given them the go ahead to only come in every 6 months for check-ups and treatments. Before they almost lived at the hospital, so this was really good news for them!
They all recently got to go to Florida Disney World as part of make a wish foundation.

Tammy has not remarried. Shell and Tammy really believed in home schooling their kids. Tammy still home schools all of their children currently. I know It would be hard, especially as a single parent, to keep up with everything during the hard times.
The oldest daugher (Lauralyn) has been thinking about going to a community college, but their family only has one car.
Our Main Goals are to:
1. Give some gifts to the girls and Tammy to let them know we care.
2. Let the girls know what a special person their Dad was to us!
Our Stretch Goals are to:
3. Start a College fund that Lauralyn can use to start going to the community college.
4. Help them secure a second (used) car.
* Note: The Stretch goals may be modified based on funds and the Families needs.
* Note: We also want to send cards, and potentially a nice dinner for two, to others in the Sky View class of 1986, that we know about that have had hard times (Funds permitting).
We would like to have all of the fund raising wrapped up shortly after our 30 year reunion which will be Aug 6th @ 6pm @ Mundos . Whether you are going to make it to the reunion or not please consider donating here to be apart of this very worthy cause with your classmates!

Sincerely,
Sky View Class of 86 (30 year) Reunion Committee.
