My brother David is one of the toughest, but kindest, people I have ever met. He is my best friend and I cannot imagine life without him. Sadly at the age of 22, he must now fight cancer. He has been diagnosed with Ewing Sarcoma, a very rare bone cancer. I remember the day he told me he had a lump on his hip. He kept the diagnosis quiet at first and wouldn’t let us know how serious it was. My heart dropped when he finally told me that he had cancer. It turned out to be 20cm tumor growing through his left hip. He would need to go through the devastation of cancer treatments.
David is currently attending college for Computer Engineering holding a 4.0 GPA. He is so smart! Ever since I can remember, he was taking apart things and putting them back together. He had parts and pieces everywhere and could build anything he needed. He has a talent for developing solutions to any kind of problem. He can build computers, fix cars, dishwashers, washing machines, dryers, anything he puts his mind toward. I cannot even count how many times he’s setup and fixed computers for family, friends, and businesses. He wants to specialize in computer security testing.
David is the fourth kid in our large family, so in addition to me, he has 2 older sisters and a younger brother and sister.
He has been undergoing treatment for about 8 weeks now and things are going well. We are all hoping and praying for him, but we know that if anyone can beat cancer, it's David!
Although David has health insurance, it is not enough to cover the growing expenses from his treatment. My family and I need your help in any way you can provide. Please share to spread the word or donate to help save my brother’s life. We appreciate any and all support! We all love him very much!
