Leah's Fight is My Fight
28 years ago, my dream came true when my baby sister, Leah, came into this world. I have watched her grow, fall in love with her high school sweetheart Ryan, get married and become an incredible mom twice over. Her little boys, Oliver, who is 4 and Lincoln who is 8 months are her whole world.
She is a fighter, a dreamer, a giver. She is generous with all she has. She loves the unloveable and cares for the forgotten. She has recently walked through the devastating diagnosis of a neurological disorder with her oldest son, Oliver who is 4. Many of you gave to see him get the help he needed to start his long journey.
On May 3rd, her world turned dark again. After going to the doctor for some bruising, she was medivaced to Vancouver and put through excruciating tests. Today, they told her she has Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL). They said that she will need at least one year of treatment in the Leukemia and Bone Marrow Transplant Program at Vancouver General Hospital.
We don't know what the future holds at this point, but we know that the cost of travel, accomodations & child care will be added to their bills, mortgage, & already weighty life expenses.
We are asking for your help.
Maybe you have been blessed by Leah & Ryan’s huge hearts.
Maybe you have walked the road of cancer yourself or with a loved one & want to come along side us & fight with us.
Maybe you have hearts that are breaking with ours at the thought of an amazing Mommy being forced away from her little boys because she has to fight for her life.
Please give as you can. We are so grateful.
