Joann "Jojo" Listro needs our help. Two and a half years ago, Jojo was fine except for severe arthritis in her hip. She had a good job, good friends, and was able to go anywhere and do anything she wanted to do. Jojo went into the hospital for a routine hip replacement. She then broke a femur. Jojo had to have another surgery and acquired a hospital borne infection. She underwent 12 more surgeries, almost died of sepsis twice, and has been wheelchair bound for 2 years. The original surgeon took her hip out and told her no more could be done. She is seeing a new surgeon now who can't promise he can give her a new hip. If she clears of infection, her new hip would be $20,000.00! Jojo has suffered constant severe pain, has lost her independence, and now can't meet her living expenses. Her rent alone is $1,350.00 a month. Jojo is a selfless, generous, and loving woman. She has helped hundreds of people with her love, wisdom and experience. People know her to be an extraordinary asset to the recovery community. She has persevered despite everything life has thrown her way. She doesn't know the meaning of giving in and giving up. I honestly am in awe of her. Jojo is facing an impossible situation when it comes to her finances. She's truly in a scary place. Let's show her our love and appreciation.
