Jon’s Rehabilitation

As you all know, our Jon had a stroke and suffered a Traumatic Brain Injury. He has been in the hospital for 5 months. At first, we were told he would probably have to be taken off life support. Then, we were told that he would be a vegetable. Now we are told he is a miracle. We have a long way to go. We have applied for SSI Disability which in turn will get Jon Medicaid. Medicaid in Georgia will help cover some hospital costs and get him in a bed in a rehabilitation facility but it does not cover the extensive Physical, Occupational and Speech Therapy that he will need. All of these costs will be out of pocket. With one income at the moment and bills stacking up, I will not be able to pay for much rehab. I would not ask if I wasn’t desperate. Looks like he is going to rehab next week. The goal is to do intensive therapy three hours a day for a couple of weeks and then send him home to do outpatient therapy. We’ve come a long way but have a long way to go. Thank you all for the prayers, love, gifts and donations.
