13.1 Miles for Mental Health & Recovery
Donation protected
Hi, I'm Paige! This fall, I’ll be running my first-ever half marathon - 13.1 miles that represent far more than a fun shirt, shiny medal, or physical distance.
For some, this might not seem like a big deal. But for me, someone who hadn’t run in over a decade and never considered themselves a runner, it’s huge.
This journey is about facing challenges head-on, finding strength in the struggle, and proving to myself that I can go further than I ever thought possible.
For over a decade, I carried the weight of mental health struggles. And as of today, I’m 2.5 years sober - rebuilding my life with clarity, intention, and resilience.
This race isn’t just a personal goal. It’s a symbol of forward motion, of choosing to keep going when it would’ve been easier to give up.
Why I’m Fundraising
To honor this journey, I’ve set a goal to raise $13,100 (yep - $1,000 for every mile!) for organizations that support mental health and substance abuse advocacy - causes that have shaped my path, challenged my identity, and ultimately grounded me in purpose.
Every dollar will go to nonprofits working to:
- Expand access to mental health and addiction care
- Support individuals in recovery
- Dismantle stigma that keeps so many suffering in silence
Please note: I’m still finalizing the specific charities, and I welcome thoughtful recommendations from this community.
How You Can Help
If this mission resonates with you, I’d be deeply grateful for your support - whether that’s through:
- Donating
- Sharing this campaign
- Spreading the word
We all run our own races. This one’s mine - and I’m choosing to run it for something bigger than myself.
Thank you for being part of the journey!
