10K Run for 'Hands on Hand out'
Donation protected
I will be running 10k on the 6 January in Battersea Park alongside:
Looby Mills, Nat Rudin, Eddie Harrop, Tilda Bevan, Lucy Orr-Ewing, Rupert Gorst, Sam Dodd-Noble, Fluffy Cain, Henry Cuthbert , Harry Umbers, Bea Gentilli and Will Fordham, Ben Field
to help raise money for "Hands on Hand out" team set up by the amazing Justine Pillar.
I came across them a few weeks ago on a Sunday evening walking back to the tube to get home from Uni where they had set up a big pop-up outreach outside Euston station providing hot drinks, food, clothes, sleeping bags, toiletrees, haircuts and (most importantly) friendly conversation with some of the local homeless. The volunteers go out every Sunday night between Kings Cross and Euston giving out supplies and then on the third Sunday of every month they do the big outreach outside Euston station.
The team relies fully on donations to keep them going and on their Facebook page they always take photos of what the money has gone towards keeping everyone up to date on what they are doing. As the weather is getting colder and colder the need for warm dry clothes and sleeping bags etc. becomes even greater for those living on the streets so any donations would be hugely appreciated.
Please feel free to like the page and help spread the word.
