I’m doing 10 days of 5Ks to help the American Cancer Society (ACS) end cancer as we know it, for everyone. Cancer doesn’t discriminate, it touches all of us in some way. Over the years, far too many of my loved ones have had to fight this relentless disease. Most recently, my best friend was diagnosed with an aggressive form of breast cancer.
Watching someone you love face something so difficult changes you. It reminds you how precious time is and how important it is to stand up and do something, however small it may feel.
That’s why I’m running all these miles, in her honor, and in honor of everyone who has faced cancer with courage and strength. Every step I take is for them.
I’m asking for your support in donating to the American Cancer Society. Together, we can help fund research, provide support to patients, and move closer to a future where no one has to hear the words “you have cancer.”
Cancer sucks, and together, we can help end it.
