I'm Running 13.1 Miles for a Cause Close to My Heart -- and Guided by Faith.
Hi Friends! I'm Jackie Downs, and I've signed up for the Garmin Half Marathon --but this run is so much bigger than me.
As I train, I've invited God into this journey--to strengthen me and use every step for something greater. That's why I'm dedicating my run to Operations Surprise Attack, a local nonprofit that spreads love and encouragement to children battling sever or rare illnesses.
Through cards, gifts, and handmade pillowcases (which I sew myself!) these brave kids are reminded they are not alone.
I'm hoping to raise $1310.00 ---$100 for every mile --to help Operation Surprise Attach continue sharing God's love through tangible acts of kindness.
