Support Jordyn Till's Pawstastic Fund for Pets
Hello! I'm Jordyn Till, and I am heading into my Senior year at Tomball High School. I have an immense love for animals, and I want to help as many pets as I can. I have two rescue dogs of my own, Dex and Hero, and they light up my life. I want to spread more information about rescuing animals, and I want to raise funds and resources to donate to local shelters in the Woodlands area.

Around 7.6 million animals a year are put into animal shelters. This staggering number places strain on these shelters for resources such as beds, food, and more.

This is why I started Pawstastic Fund, a non-profit devoted to spreading awareness about rescuing animals, and raising money and resources to donate to shelters. I want to make a difference in the lives of as many animals I can, and believe that through the power of community many pet lives will be changed.

We are currently aiming to raise a minimum of $2,500 to donate to Operation Pets Alive, an all-volunteer, nonprofit organization striving to elevate Montgomery County to a No-Kill community through innovative programs.

FLIGHT FOR LIFE - OPA Saving Lives

Your donation will help cover the costs of vetting, medications, surgical procedures (spay and neuter), medical treatment and transport fees for each of transport rescue animals.

Recent statistics for one of our local animal shelters indicate that in one given month there were 1,776 animal intakes, and of those, 864 were euthanized. That's in only one month!

In response to numbers like that, Operation Pets Alive! a non-profit, 501 (c) 3, volunteer organization, is striving for a No-Kill Montgomery County, Texas. Operation Pets Alive! organizes "rescue flights" (FLIGHT FOR LIFE) for "at risk" homeless dogs and cats in Montgomery County.

Since our formation four years ago, we have focused on four life-saving programs. As of February, 2013...

Our TRAP, NEUTER and RETURN (TNR) program, altered and vaccinated more than 451 cats now living in managed colonies. This limits breeding and reduces intake of cats and kittens at our local shelter.

Our TARGETED SPAY AND NEUTER program is currently working on an "In-clinic Clinic" concept which will bring low cost spay and neuter services to those areas in Montgomery County that turn the most animals in to local shelters. We have also partnered with another non-profit, K-9 Corral, to alter 1,465 dogs in New Caney, Splendora, Porter and other areas of east Montgomery County where resources for having pets altered are limited.

We have adopted over 1,050 dogs and cats to our local community through our FOSTER/ADOPTION PROGRAM. All are up-to-date on vaccinations, spay and neutered and are placed in suitable homes.

Finally, our transport programs, PUPS ON TRUCKS, FLIGHT FOR LIFE, and PUPPIES AND KITTENS WITH WINGS, supplement local rescue efforts by sending "at risk" dogs, puppies or kittens to shelters with save rates well over 90%. The average live-release rate at our local shelter for 2013 to date is 56.5%. Operation Pets Alive! has transported close to 2000 local dogs and kittens to families in MA, NH, CO and OR assuring that they will be safe.
