Madison’s near east side is fortunate to have schools like Lapham and Marquette that provide high-quality learning for our neighborhood’s children. For years, the Lapham Marquette Parent Teacher Group has been an integral organization supporting our schools by uniting families, school staff, and the greater community.

“The PTG generously funded a Mobile Switch Station providing switch-adapted toys and assistive technology to Lapham students. Exploration of adapted toys allows all of our students to grow and learn alongside their friends who have some physical limitations.”

We also have BIG NEWS! Forward Madison soccer team has generously donated 50 grandstand reserved tickets for their home opener on April 13th vs. Richmond Kickers at 6 pm.! Everyone who donates to the PTG GoFundMe going forward will receive a pair of tickets while supplies last. If you qualify, a PTG member will contact you via a GoFundMe email message soon after our fundraiser ends on 3/31 with instructions for claiming your tickets.

Our children are fortunate to have neighborhood schools like Lapham and Marquette that provide high quality learning experiences. For years, the Lapham Marquette Parent Teacher Group has played an active role in supporting the success of our schools. This year, the PTG asks you to join with us by providing a donation towards our $10,000 goal to ensure all families and children have access to school programs.

As our schools and schools across the country face new challenges like staff retention and Covid learning loss, the role of Lapham Marquette’s PTG is more crucial than ever. We provide a place for caregivers to come together to give extra support to students, teachers, and families, ensuring that school staff feels supported and appreciated, that classrooms have the extra resources they need, and that at risk families can meet basic needs in times of crisis.

Our PTG focuses our support on equitable and inclusive efforts, helping ensure that every student in our dynamic community has a chance to enjoy and participate in all of the programs and learning experiences Lapham and Marquette have to offer.

Our PTG relies on the generosity of our school community to fund a wide range of equity-focused endeavors each school year.

 

In a typical year, we host in-person fundraisers like election day bake sales and an annual spring charity fundraiser and auction. COVID has prevented many of these events, so we are hosting this online fundraiser to ensure we can still support a range of important programs for the 2022/23 academic year.
