Laura Jeffrey Academy

As a new teacher at Laura Jeffrey Academy in St. Paul, MN,  I was impressed and inspired by the talent, dedication and passion of my middle school students and their enthusiasm for the performing arts.  My background directing high school theater led me to want to provide them with an opportunity to perform in a musical that would showcase their brilliance.  We chose to perform the Lion King because of its beautiful message of interconnectedness and finding strength in the midst of trials.  The students have started to work on the songs and dialogue and are so excited to bring the story to life in June.  However, our school is small and our funds are very limited. Musicals come with many expenses from renting scripts and paying for performance rights to providing costumes and make up for the actors.  We are experts at doing things effciently, but we also want to give our scholars an experience full of the excitement and allure of a well produced show.  Your contribution to our efforts will help provide them with this rewarding and inspiring opportunity.  Thank you sincerely for supporting us!
