For Pete's Sake Cancer Respite Foundation

Want to join me in making a difference? On the morning of September 2nd, I’ll be setting sail on a solo, self-supported 400+ mile bikepacking ride across Pennsylvania on Route 6 over five days while raising money for For Pete's Sake. For Pete's Sake Cancer Respite Foundation enables cancer patients and their loved ones to strengthen, deepen and unify their relationship by creating unforgettable and lasting respite experiences.

So many families are effected by some form of cancer, and I’m sure someone in yours has fought it or is currently fighting. My grandfather, one of the most important people in my life, passed away in 2008 from his own battle. I’m doing this ride in memory of him while trying to support another family that is going through the same thing currently. I’ve had my own health issues this summer and I am not 100% prepared for this trip physically, but I will push myself and suffer through it for a handful of days to benefit someone suffering through way worse. I’m decently nervous to start Thursday, but I’ll feel better once I’m out on the road!

I will be posting daily updates on my Instagram as well as this Go Fund Me page and I ask everyone that’s following along to donate to my fundraiser if it all possible. As little as $10 from a good handful of people will go a long way. Even simply sharing my posts daily on social media will help out a ton too. - Day 1 (Port Jervis to Tunkhannock) - 87 miles / 7,000ft elevation gain
- Day 2 (Tunkhannock to Ansonia) - 108 miles / 8,000ft elevation gain
- Day 3 (Anosonia to Kane) - 88 miles / 5,000ft elevation gain
- Day 4 (Kane to Union City) - 67 miles / 2,000ft elevation gain
- Day 5 (Union City to Pymatuning) - 58 miles / 3,000ft elevation gain

The Cheapies have brought me and all of us so much joy over the past year. It's about fuckin' time we spread some of that to people who really need it. 

The For Pete's Sake Cancer Respite Foundation provides families that are suffering with cancer with the ability to enjoy a trip/getaway/vacation away from the hardships of cancer to places like Disney World, Universal Studios, or wherever it is they want to spend some quality time with each other and just forget about the bullshit.
