Mission

Feeding San Diego is a non-profit organization on a mission to connect every person facing hunger with nutritious meals by maximizing food rescue. Established in 2007, Feeding San Diego rescues surplus food from local and national food donors before it goes to waste and gets it to people facing hunger in San Diego County. It is the only Feeding America partner food bank in the region. Each year, the hunger-relief organization provides more than 31 million meals to children, families, seniors, college students, military families, and veterans in partnership with a network of 300 local charities, schools, colleges, faith communities, healthcare providers, and meal sites. It operates nine distinct programs countywide that support people facing hunger with food assistance or resources.

    No Empty Plates: Help Feed San Diego Families Hi, my name is Miles, and I’m starting this fundraiser because I want to help make a difference for children and families in San Diego who are struggling with hunger. No child should have to worry about where their next meal is coming from. That’s why I created No Empty Plates—a project with the goal of helping fight hunger and eventually supporting communities in need of food and clean water. For this fundraiser, I’m starting right here in San Diego by supporting Feeding San Diego and the important work they do for people facing hunger in our community. My goal is to bring people together and show that even small donations can make a real difference. Whether you can donate a little or simply share this fundraiser, every bit of support helps.
