Father Bill's & MainSpring, Inc.

Dear friends,

This is an initiative of love from the members of the Nova Aliança Church of the Nazarene to help the Brockton-based Shelter, FATHER BILL’S & MAINSPRING, in supporting those they serve and who are struggling with homelessness, even more so during this time of trouble and hardship.

Some of the Father Bills & MainSpring Shelter’s population has tested positive for COVID-19. In order to accommodate for proper social distancing and safety measures, the shelter had to expand their locations. This means that they had to double their staffing, while also compensating their frontline staff with hazard pay, as well as accommodate for additional utilities expenses and materials. At the same time, they had to suspend their volunteer operations, which typically account for 70% of food donations and services. Adding of all of these measures, they are experiencing a monthly increase of expenses beyond their budget.

Besides, the Shelter operates 550 units of permanent supportive housing for individuals and families who otherwise would not be able to be housed successfully. These are also individuals, like the shelter population, who tend to be older, have disabilities, and generally fall into the high risk category.

We believe that together we can make a difference in our community, the City of Champions. Therefore, NOVA ALIANÇA CHURCH OF THE NAZARENE is partnering with Father Bill’s & MainSpring Shelter to help them overcome this challenge. 

The Shelter’s primary need right now is cash donations, which gives them the most flexibility in using funds, at any given time, where they are needed the most. In order to do that we need generous people like you, who are willing to donate $$$ to support this great cause.
