COVID-19疫情在美东地区迅速蔓延：截至3月27日，纽约州确诊病例迅速突破46000，其中纽约市确诊病例接近27000，占了全美确诊病例的四分之一，而且数字仍在快速上涨。这个全球最繁华的大都市正在经历最艰难的时刻，各个医院急症室病人爆满，医疗机构的个人防护设备（PPTE） 严重紧缺。纽约疫情当前，医护人员是生命和死亡之间的最后一道防线，而保护他们就是保护我们自己。

全美华人金融协会理事会在此倡议广大会员和朋友为大纽约地区的纽约长老会医院New York-Presbyterian Hospital（NYP）COVID-19病人护理基金定向捐款，为社区贡献力量，共同帮助大纽约地区的医院与病毒战斗，以便我们的社区能够再次恢复健康，繁荣和更加充满希望的未来。

我们的捐款将和参与美国华人爱心联盟（ACUC Alliance）的几十个华人团体一起，共同汇报给纽约州政府。所有参与这次行动的组织以及个人捐款的总和将通过纽约州政府和州议会组织的新闻发布会进行报道并在媒体上发布，向美国公众展示华裔社区的团结力量，让我们的社区看到全体华人作为一个族裔在这次抗疫救援活动中做出的巨大贡献。

无论大小，每一笔捐款都能代表我们会员和朋友对美东地区社区抗疫的支持。全美华人金融协会及管理团队已承诺捐助至少2万美元。

本次定向捐款截止日期为2020年4月8日，我们会公示捐款记录和医院收据，确保信息透明。

全美华人金融协会是在纽约州注册的符合501C3资质的非营利组织，本次捐款可以抵税。

纽约长老会医院NYP（官方网站https://www.nyp.org/）是位于纽约市的非盈利医学学术中心、美国最全面，集成的学术医疗保健系统之一，隶属于两家常青藤医学院（哥伦比亚大学瓦格洛斯医学院，威尔.康奈尔医学院），一直被公认为医学教育，开创性研究和创新的以患者为中心的临床护理领域的领导者。NYP在大纽约地区有10个院区，拥有约2600张床位，超过6,500名附属医生和20,000名员工，医院排名《美国新闻与世界报道》纽约大都会区第一名，并多次入选“美国最佳医院”荣誉榜。

New York City is under attack by the COVID-19 pandemic. The disease has taken away over 1000 precious lives along with the city’s glory. Medical professionals all around the city are fighting day and night to protect the city and all of its residents. However, hospitals are reaching a breaking point: personnel lack critical protective gears and hospital beds are running out fast. It is time to act to help defend the men and women who fight hard for our own lives.

TCFA is collecting donation to help the city fight COVID-19. We will distribute the donation to COVID-19 Patient Care Fund at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital. This fund devotes its resources to help doctors and patients of one of the most comprehensive hospitals in the City to combat the virus.

TCFA’s fundraising efforts is part of the coordinated campaign by ACUA Alliance. ACUA was formed by over 50 Chinese American associations that share the same destiny as their American neighbors in this pandemic. TCFA and its board members will contribute at least $20,000 to this fundraising.
