About Carson Kaye Foundation
CKF is an accredited, 501(c)(3) non-profit organization based in Bethlehem. We are dedicated to helping children and their families who are impacted by congenital heart defects (CHDs) in the Lehigh Valley. CHDs affect approximately 40,000 children each year and are responsible for over 30% of birth defect-related deaths. A significant number of affected children will not survive to reach their first birthday. The Foundation was established in 2014 by Erik Kaye to honor the memory of his son Carson, who passed away at the age of 4 months due to congenital heart defects – Corrected Transposition of the Great Arteries (L-TGA), Ebstein’s Anomaly, and Supraventricular Tachycardia (SVT). Our mission is: help children and families avoid the tragedy and pain the Kayes experienced.
