Buffalo Pugs Chinese Meat Market Rescue

Thank you to those interested in helping our cause. We have heard how bad things are in China in regards to the welfare of dogs there but we were ignorant to exactly how bad...until recently. BPSBR began working closely with a specific rescue group located in China in the last month that educated us on all aspects of life there as a dog.
We were originally asked to help with saving 28 Bulldogs (English and French) from said group. From there we were provided with a multitude of pictures and videos by those rescuers located in China ranging from what their shelters look like, dumped/abandoned dogs that have been found living on the streets to fend for themselves, puppy mills for meat trade, to what is fed to the dogs. After seeing these videos and being educated, there was no way we could say no to helping both the dogs and the rescue overseas. After forging a relationship and working together we found out that flights are limited to certain months out of the year and time is of the essence with transport and getting them on to a new beginning in the U.S. To say that most of the dogs come from horrifying conditions, would be the understatement of the year. The rescuers there, do all in their power to help in any way they can with food, shelter and vetting as much as possible but their main goal is to help get the dogs, and work with rescues in other countries. then get transportation to those rescues. This is expensive and at the intake rescues cost, BPSBR is scraping every penny together to make this mission possible of saving 28 dogs and desperately needs your help!
We could post videos and stories of all that is going on there that we have received but we are trying to balance education and the fact of knowing this is a sensitive subject, that many want to help but don't want to see or couldn't handle those many graphic images. We do also understand that there are vast cultural differences. We want to be respectful of all of those things. With that being said we are asking for your help today. We desperately need funding to help us bring 28 dogs over and change the lives of those dogs and many future adoption homes (not all are in the photo). This would also free up an additional 28 spaces for others in desperate need in China. Please consider making a donation to help many lives. We greatly appreciate any donation you are able to make.
Buffalo Pug and Small Breed Rescue can be found on Facebook, Instagram and our main website. We received our Certificate of Incorporation in 2003, our EIN # 68-05656591, NYS Dept of Ag and Mkts RR363, and is registered with NYS Charities Bureau.
Thank you again. We can't do this without your support.
