Reflecting on my journey and the profound impact my mother, Mrs. Ursula L. Jones, has had on my life, I am filled with gratitude and determination. Growing up as one of her eleven children, I was fortunate to experience her unwavering love, support, and encouragement. She instilled in me the values of education, compassion, and community service. Even after passing, her voice inspires me, reminding me to pursue my dreams while uplifting those around me.

Now, I am faced with an exciting opportunity to honor her legacy. I have been invited to join the Board of a community non-profit radio station. This platform aligns perfectly with my mother's love for radio and her belief in the power of storytelling. The Board initiated a fundraising challenge to raise funds in the name of a loved one. The winner will have their loved one's name honored and memorialized above the podcast studio.

My choice was clear: I want my mother's name to grace that space, as she embodied kindness and service. She listened to the radio for entertainment and as a source of comfort and connection. By naming the podcast room after her, we create a lasting family tribute to her spirit and influence, ensuring that her legacy lives on for future generations.

To achieve this goal, I am seeking to raise $10,000. This funding will allow me to honor my mother and support the station's growth, which plays a vital role in our community.
