About American Friends of HelpAge India
American Friends of HelpAge India (AFHI), was established in 2019 to raise awareness about the challenges facing disadvantaged elders in India and to mobilize resources in support of programs implemented by HelpAge India - one of India's most established non-profits which has been serving this very neglected sub-sect of the populace since 1978. AFHI thus seeks to mobilize the power of the Indian American diaspora and well wishers of India in support of India’s disadvantaged and vulnerable elderly population so that they can lead healthy, active and dignified lives, free from poverty, suffering and abuse.
