Team C-137 (CanSat Competition)

Aloha!

We are Team C-137 from Honolulu Hawaii. We are a group of Mechanical Engineering students looking to compete in the CanSat 2018 Competition for our Capstone Senior Design Project. The competition is held in Stephenville Texas. Although we have a budget for the construction of our rocket, we still come up short on funds for the travel and accommodations of our ten team members. 

Our mission is to launch a small ‘Can’ Satellite up to an altitude of 2400ft where our payload will be deployed. Once deployed, the satellite will descend at a determined speed while being protected by our designed “Aero-Braking Heat Shield”. It will then land safely using a parachute and hopefully recovered.
