Prayers for Norē
Our dear friends Anthony and Tess have recently had a baby boy. Norien Dace Jones (Norē) was born on August 26th, 2015. This isn’t where the story ends though. Norē was born with special needs, a very rare case of Arthrogryposis.
Multiple doctors have stated they’ve never seen such a severe case as they’ve seen in Norē. Scoliosis has already developed and he has had an extensive surgery for 8 blockages in his intestines when he was only two-days old.
This precious, strong, little soldier has already been through so much in life and it is only his beginning. This little fighter has a long journey ahead of him with multiple surgeries in the coming weeks and with more to come over the years.
Norē and his family will be experiencing all of his “Firsts” of his life while in the hospital. This is his home and one he may only know for the next several months or even years. His prognosis for the future is a challenging one. When Norē does finally leave to join his family, he will be reliant on a wheelchair. There will be no climbing trees, running races and digging for worms for Norē, he will not be able to partake in activity from the lumbar of his spine on down.
Norē’s hospital is over an hour away from his family’s home. His parents want very much to be by their precious baby boy’s side as much as possible. However, the daily costs of staying there and traveling back and forth are unconceivable.
As much as Anthony and Tess are needed by Norē’s side, they’re also greatly needed at Norē’s big Sister, Desi’s side. Desi is a beautiful, non-verbal, Autistic, 6 years old girl who now has the honor of being a Big Sister. She requires daily therapy and intervention to support her development and progress that Anthony and Tess must divide their time between.
As we rally around Norē, Desi, Anthony and Tess, we’d like to show our love and support by helping to alleviate some of the financial burdens this amazing family faces. As a token of love, we want to help so they will not have to make the agonizing decision of whether they can afford to see their Son today.
We …. Their loved ones, family, friends and their community … greatly appreciate anything you’re willing to give. Think of a tank of gas or a hot shower, some food on a long day and a cup of coffee to stay awake during the night, it all helps! All funds will go directly to the family to help them in whatever way possible.
Our support will allow this family to be together and allow Norē to thrive as he grows and faces this long road ahead of him.
