My Volunteer Mission in Greece!

For those of you who do not know me, my name is Adelina Fontes. An opportunity has come up the past couple days for me to go help out on the grounds assisting Syrian Refugees at a site in Lesvos, Greece. This is short notice but I plan to leave in the next five days and I will be volunteering for about a month.
I am looking to raise money to not only make this trip possible as I am leaving my job for a month and am restricted financially, but also to help providing necessary items to fulfill crucial needs to the refugees as a part of the program of the volunteers on the ground (i.e. backpacks, women's leggings, and men's sweatpants).
I have traveled to over forty countries in my life and always on a personal mission, to understand and appreciate the world around me. I understand the importance of helping those in needs and I can no longer just sit and watch the continued suffering of all these victims of war in the news. I am tired of making excuses about why I can't do more. We can all do more. I am very excited to join a colleague of mine who is already on site and has been active in the effort for months now.
I am using Gofundme for the first time to try and raise the money I need to make my mission possible. My goal is to raise $5000. I have ten days until my desired departure date and I am asking all my family and friends to please help me support this cause! I would love to be able to support the current efforts on the grounds and help out funding any necessary items I know they still need.
