Help Seeds for Prosperity Grow Stronger Communities in The Gambia

In the villages of The Gambia, a single seed can change everything. It can mean a child eating breakfast before school, a mother earning income from her own small plot, or a community coming together to build something lasting. That's the belief behind Seeds for Prosperity — and it's why we're asking for your support today.

Seeds for Prosperity is a Gambian non-profit foundation working directly with local communities to fight food insecurity and create sustainable pathways out of poverty. Through farming initiatives and support for women, we help families build the tools they need to feed themselves and thrive — not just survive.

The Gambia faces real challenges: unpredictable rainfall, limited access to farming resources, and economic pressures that hit rural families hardest. But we've seen firsthand what happens when communities are given the right support. Gardens that once grew only a limited number of vegetables are now seeing significantly greater varieties and improved productivity. Women who once had no independent income are now earning higher farm incomes. Children are staying in school because their families have steadier food and income.

Your donation will go directly toward buying vegetable seeds. Seeds for Prosperity has zero overhead expenses and staff work on volunteer basis.

Every dollar you give plants something real - a crop, a skill, an opportunity. Whether you can give $10 or $500, your contribution moves us closer to a Gambia where no family has to choose between eating and earning.

Please consider donating today and share this campaign with anyone who believes in the power of grassroots change. Together, we can help rural Gambian communities grow food, grow income, and grow hope — one seed at a time.

Thank you for standing with Seeds for Prosperity.

Summary

Seeds for Prosperity is a non-profit Gambian foundation raising funds to support rural

Gambian women gardeners. All donations (100%) will go to purchasing quality vegetable seeds.

Background

Growing vegetables in village gardens is an income-generating avenue in rural areas. These gardens also produce a range of vegetables that provide their households with nutritious food and are sold fresh in local markets. Over 90% of the farmers working in

rural vegetable gardens in The Gambia are women. Gardens in rural areas are typically clustered together in a single location to facilitate access to water, labor sharing, and security. However, the conditions in these rural gardens are highly challenging. The women farmers constantly face significant shortages of quality seeds. As a result, yields are often low. Because most seeds are imported, the depreciation of the currency on top of the local inflation has made it even more difficult for these poor farmers to buy needed inputs.

Where the Money Goes

Seeds for Prosperity is a non-profit Gambian foundation that helps farmers in these rural horticultural gardens to have access to essential inputs. We focus on seeds, fertilizer, and sustainable irrigation systems. Last year, we assisted 65 villages with vegetable seeds, which directly benefited 20,000 farmers. There are still many villages that need support we were not able to reach. Your support will make it possible for us to do many more. The funds will go towards seeds purchased mainly for onions, lettuce, cabbage, tomato, pepper, and eggplant.

Seeds for Prosperity is a lean organization that does not divert donations to overhead costs. All (100%) of the contributions received will go exclusively towards subsidizing the purchase of seeds for these rural horticultural gardens. None (0%) will go towards overhead or administrative costs. This policy was observed in our successful 2023

fundraising. We are also happy to announce that a generous donor has pledged to match donations received through GoFundMe up to $15,000. Please donate and help improve food security. As the saying goes, when you help a rural woman, you help a family.

Support Women Vegetable Garden Cultivation in Gambia

As'salamu Alaikum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakatuhu Alhamdulillah with your support, our channel has reached over 1,020,000 SUBSCRIBERS and over 130,000,000 VIEWS and it has benefited thousands of people to come back to Islam. But recently YouTube demonetized our channel unjustly and unfairly without giving us any valid reasons. Our videos was never suitable for their site simply because it's Islam religion related topic, even though we never upload anything that promotes hate or violence towards anyone. All of our videos are peaceful and educational message. Our goal is to bring people closer to Allah and educate the non-believers and remove misconceptions about our Religion. But YouTube has taken away our only source of revenue that we had. We relied heavily on that source to help us cover the cost for funding our videos, since that has been taken away from us, we need your help. To secure our channel from future threats, such as moving to new and safe platform where we can upload videos with no third-party interference and buy 100% licensed footage, we need your support. Here is a breakdown of why we need your support:

❱ Video editors

❱ Buying Licensed Stock Footage

❱ Buying Licensed Images

❱ After Effects Templates

❱ Monthly costs of Editing software

❱ Purchasing visual effects, 3D animations

❱ Hire Speakers To Do Exclusive Talk on Varies Topics

❱ Hire Website and App Developer (back up platform in case YT shuts down our channel)

❱ Other costs related to producing videos

Your support will allow us to continue our work by bringing our viewers the highest quality reminders possible that reach close to 3 Million people a month! (The reward for your support is truly priceless) This is one of the greatest forms of Sadaqah Jariya (which will continue to benefit you and others even after you leave this world)

WHY DO WE NEED YOUR HELP AND DONATION TO MAKE VIDEOS?

Creating professional videos can get expensive and time consuming. A lot of work goes into creating one single video. And with YT taking our only source of revenue, it's very difficult for us to make videos because the cost is really high. Just to give you an example, a basic 20 seconds Stock Footage can cost up to $60 - $120 and most of our video length is about 8-15 minutes long. So you can see, it's really expensive, and also using stock footage can help us avoid any copyright issues since it will be 100% licensed video.

Your donation will go into securing our content for the future, moving to a new platform and making videos more faster. Insha'Allah the videos will benefit you, will increase your knowledge, will educate non-Muslims and remove misconception about our Deen and will benefit the 3,000,000+ total people who watches our videos every month. If one person comes close to Allah, comes close to the Deen through these reminders that was made with your donation, then Insha'Allah Allah will reward you for that persons action. It will count as Sadaqah Jariyah (ongoing deeds that will benefit you and others after you leave this world).

If you cannot support us financially, then it's perfectly fine. Just share this page with others who can and just make dua for us. If you have any questions, just message us through YouTube or Facebook. Please note that the money you are donating is a gift to us for our hard work that we put in on a daily basis, spreading the beautiful religion and educating mankind with the right knowledge of Islam. Your donation will be used to cover costs, as well as give hadya (gift) to our team. Jazak Allah Khair (May Allah Reward You) and As'salamu Alaikum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakatuhu

LoveAllah328 || Funding For Videos

Hisham was like a brother to us and was the sweetest soul anyone could ever meet. Sadly his life was taken shortly. Hisham would always make sure that everyone around him was taken care of and would try to put a smile on everyone's faces before his. Were just at a loss for words for what happened and wished this wasn't true. We decided to create this go fund me to help cover his funeral expenses, so his family doesn't have to worry about covering the costs of his funeral & any extra money will be going to charity. Any donation means the world; even if you donate a dollar. The reward of giving sadaqa during Ramadan is multiplied by 70, and the reward for any righteous act during Laylatul Qadr is equivalent to having performed the same act for over 83 years! Thank you so much! I will be transferring the funds to Ahmed, father of Hisham.

Gambia National Fundraiser for Covid-19

This fundraiser is formed by a group of leading Gambian fundraisers that have teamed up to raise funds both at home and abroad for the underprivileged in The Gambia. As we all know, the Covid 19 pandemic will hit the poorest and the most vulnerable more than any other section of our society as they usually do not have anyone to turn to. Bigger International charities and government’s resources have been over stretched to the their limits or by the time help gets to them it will be too late and no one has any idea when this epidemic will end.

Due to low wages and salaries in The Gambia, most people can’t afford or do not have the luxury of buying monthly groceries in bulk like some of us in the West. To help reduce the spread, most public, private services and businesses will either be limited or stopped entirely by the government and this will seriously affect those that depend on them for their daily survival. We all know what any parent is willing to do just to keep your family alive.

What will my money be spent on? Funds raised will be used to buy basic food items like rice, sugar, oil etc.

For further reassurance, we will never give your donations to any local or central governmental body as we already have enough boots on the ground to help carry out all the necessary work needed in this fight.

Thank you for dipping into your pockets especially in such a difficult time.

If you have any concerns or questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.
