<div>It all started with a hearing service dog named Odie. Cynthia Murray, who is deaf and was working in Special Education, adopted Odie to be her ears. But Cynthia soon found out that Odie had severe food allergies and she couldn’t find any safe treats to give him. So Cynthia did what any true animal lover would do and took matters into her own hands. She needed to make her own treats, and this is how 4Legz All Natural Dog Treats was born back in 2004.

<div>Since then, 4Legz has been providing a safer food option for our furry family members made only from the highest quality, nutritious ingredients that are free from unsafe preservatives, chemicals, byproducts, and fillers so often found in pet food products. All 4Legz products are made in the USA in their bakery in Centralia, Washington.

<div>But 4Legz doesn’t just create delicious and allergy-friendly products, they are also engaged in a mission to support the disability community. Through their charitable connections, 4Legz have provided countless individuals jobs in fields they are passionate about. They also work with animal organizations to provide veterinary services, and train and match service and therapy dogs with those who need them.

<div>Recently, Cynthia has fallen on hard times and unfortunately 4Legz has racked up considerable debt. We are asking for donations to help keep this wonderful and wholesome company alive so they can continue their good work in the community providing healthy treats for our beloved furry family, and supporting the disabled and giving back to animal charities.

Help Save 4Legz: Healthy Dog Treats and Jobs for Disabled

<div>Monday night, February 6, 2023, Laura was transported to St Peters Hospital. She was found unconscious in bed. 
</div>

<div>Friends and family came to gather around her day after day, hoping she would come through. 
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Unfortunately, things turned for the worse. Because Laura was without oxygen for a time on Monday, her brain was swelling and she had two strokes on Wednesday night. Family and friends were all called to come see Laura late Wednesday night to say our goodbyes. Such a heart wrenching ordeal as we all know Laura is a fighter!

<div>She loves to get together with her many friends, she would make time for you and will get you out of the house to have some fun! She had so much to give that her love was amazing.

<div>Her life was wrapped around her children and work. This is all she was living for.

<div>She was medically pronounced on February 12.

<div>Laura is a donor and is still on a ventilator while they are getting organ donations ready.

<div>She leaves behind her two beautiful children Savannah and Abel. Laura’s siblings Ben, Jacob, Annemarie, and Nicholas. And her father Ray.

<div>Laura has worked as a lead Baker for 4Legz All Natural Dog Treats on and off for 3 years. She will always have a place here and will be greatly missed.

<font color="#333333">My dear friend Emily lost her mom, Eileen, shortly before Christmas. Eileen went into the hospital for a knee replacement, and just before the end of the procedure she suffered a massive and fatal heart attack. Emily was there in the final moments as Eileen passed away. <br /><br />And now.<br /><br />Now there are bills. There are memorial service expenses. There is Emily who needs time to recover and heal and grieve without the pressure to work extra to cover a mortgage that her mom was paying. She needs time to consider all her options instead of being forced into hasty decisions based on what is the cheapest right this second.  <br /><br />Emily is a can-do person—independent and capable.  Not one to ask for help, even when circumstances warrant it.<br /><br />Our collective generosity can buy Emily time and space to grieve and process, to care for herself, and to find a soft landing place as she begins to live in the “after” times. <strong>All in our organization are driven by a passion for saving deaf dogs in need - transportation, especially in emergency situations, is critical. With Deaf Dogs Rock turning 7 years old - it's time to get a dedicated transport vehicle - you can help!</strong><br /><br />August 1st marked the 7th anniversary of the founding of Deaf Dogs Rock!  During this time thousands of deaf dogs and their families have been helped, and a massive and engaged community has developed.<br /><br />One of the primary services of our organization is in the transport of deaf dogs in need - most commonly transporting them from situations in which they are at risk of euthinasia in to the safe harbors of a rescue organization.  <strong>The transport vehicle we've been using is all but worn out!</strong><br /><br /><img src="https://d2g8igdw686xgo.cloudfront.net/31778440_1537652549782942_r.jpeg" width="100%" media_type="3" alt="31778440_1537652549782942_r.jpeg" /><br />For seven years I have used my personal car for these transports and  while I have been happy to volunteer it's services - it pushing 200k miles and racking up repair costs.  Heading down I-81 on a 90 degree day caring for a deaf dog in need, it is a bad situation to have to be worrying about the vehicle breaking down.  <em>(I prayed  the entire way to and from Nashville last week!)</em><br /><br />Our entire board of directors is in support of taking the next much needed step of having Deaf Dogs Rock own a dedicated transport vehicle.<br /><br /><strong>What your donations will do - </strong><br /><br />Frequently the key to saving a deaf dog in need lies a couple hundred miles away at a safe rescue.  We have a trusted network of partners willing to take in and foster these deaf dogs, but we have to get them there.
