We are reaching out in hope to assist one of our families facing an incredibly difficult and uncertain journey. Their young son has been battling Drug Resistant Epilepsy for the past 3 years, experiencing frequent seizures that do not respond to medication, and the family is still searching for answers.

Despite numerous appointments, tests, and clinical trials with experimental drugs a clear cause of the seizures is yet to be pin pointed and the long-term treatment plan requires ongoing video monitoring which entails in patient hospital stays for weeks at a time and these are likely to become more invasive. As you can imagine, this has been emotionally, physically, and financially overwhelming.

To ensure their son receives the care he needs, both parents have paused their careers to be able to support the ongoing care needs. This includes attending specialist appointments, coordinating care, and picking him up early from school when seizures occur or worse still racing to the Emergency Department.

This family has shown tremendous strength and love, but the ongoing medical expenses, and the loss of income and the daily grind has been a struggle to navigate.

We are asking for your support — whether through a donation, sharing this page, or keeping them in your thoughts. Every little bit helps ease the burden and gives them more time and energy to focus on what matters most: their son’s and familie'

s health and well-being.

Funds will go directly toward:

Medical bills and specialist visits

Everyday living costs during this difficult time

Thank you for standing with this family. Your kindness means more than words can express.

Helping a family through their son's ongoing health needs

UPDATE: WE ARE RAISING MORE MONEY TO ALLOW THE PLANES TO KEEP DOING MORE TURNS.

We are coming to you in desperation to conduct an emergency flight rescue of 300+ Afghan souls. I have been working alongside humanitarian aid groups, decorated military veterans, and activists on the ground in Kabul, fighting to save people who otherwise have no chance at survival in the Taliban-occupied Kabul.

The individuals in question are high-value targets - Afghan men and women who have worked as human rights lawyers, champions of Women’s and LGBTQ rights, journalists, government liaisons, artists, and interpreters - all of whom are at imminent risk of being executed by the Taliban, along with their families. We will be taking full family units.

If these people do not get rescued as soon as possible, neither they nor their family will make it through the month. The Taliban have a KILL LIST and are going door to door, searching for these people and reportedly killing them on sight if found. Every one of these individuals on the manifest have been vetted.

Due to the rapidly deteriorating situation in Kabul, this rescue mission will only be possible if $550,000 is raised to fuel 2 airplanes to fly into Kabul from a foreign country. If we raise twice the amount ($1,100,000), we’ll do another run. There are enough people in need to make many round-trips with our two airplanes. We will continue multiplying as goals are met.

With help from people on the ground in Kabul, and the newfound security of the airport due to increased US presence — we have arranged for a safe onboarding process. All of the people who will be boarding the planes have been extensively vetted.

Every $1,500 raised represents a seat on one of the planes, and a life saved.

Please share wide and far, as hundreds of lives are at stake.

FUNDING

The money will be paid to and distributed from Raven Advisory, LLC, based in NC.

Any overages in funds raised beyond flights will be donated to the International Women’s Media Foundation, who are actively helping with this rescue effort + settlement, to help the people we rescue start a new life.

Destinations have been secured to allow our planes safe passage + landing, and locations cannot be disclosed until the flights have arrived safely. Updates will be provided frequently.

Special thanks to our partners:

The International Women’s Media Organization (IWMF) is the only organization that provides safety training, byline opportunities, and emergency support tailored to women journalists and photographers around the world.

Raven Advisory, LLC is a multi-dimensional integrator for risk management, security, training, and humanitarian efforts. Raven's subsidiaries are: Gryphon Group, Raven Medical, and Raven Worldwide. www.ravenadvsry.com

GOOD/Upworthy: a social impact company

And to all the military veterans in Los Angeles who are helping us lead this charge!

FLYAWAY: EMERGENCY AFGHAN RESCUE MISSION

Thanks to the amazing doctors in Pisa, and Sharon's incredible strength, Noel has survived sepsis shock and surgery.

We are now hoping to bring Noel back home to Australia where his doctors of years can take over his care, where both Noel and Sharon will be surrounded by friends and loved ones for support, and where Cookie, their dog, is waiting for them both.

Anyone who has heard Noel and Sharon's story and wished they could do something to help, can. Falling seriously ill in a foreign country is an enormous strain on finances. We are aiming to cover the full cost of getting Noel back home when he is well enough to fly. If we can help make a dint in the mounting costs of his emergency care, even better!

Let's all chip in- every little bit helps! Let's bring him home!

GoFundMe has asked me to add a couple of details, so for those of you who don't know me here goes-
My name is Amanda Firbank and I am one of Noel and Sharon's many friends who wanted to set up this fundraising page to help them. Everything we manage to raise on this platform goes directly towards the cost of getting Noel home back to Sydney when he is well enough to fly. The money goes directly into Noel and Sharon's joint bank account from this campaign. Thanks again everyone- you have been amazing and it means the world to Sharon and Noel. Much Love x.
