"If you light a lamp for someone else, it will also brighten your path." Hi, I’m Dianne, from Hinundayan, Southern Leyte, Philippines, now living in the Netherlands. On November 4, 2025, Typhoon Tino (Kalmaegi) struck Southern Leyte with winds over 150 km/h and gusts up to 205 km/h, bringing heavy rain, flooding, and landslides. In St. Bernard alone, over 12,000 people were forced to evacuate, and many homes were partially or totally destroyed. Thousands of families remain without power, clean water, or access to relief. My relatives in St. Bernard, including my 86-year-old grandmother (see picture), were severely affected. Their house was badly damaged — the roof was torn off — and it is no longer safe to live in. Rebuilding it is urgent, but they have very limited resources. Your donation — no matter how small — will help them: Rebuild and repair their home Provide basic necessities such as food, clean water, and medicine Extra funds raised will go to help other families in Hinundayan and nearby towns whose homes were destroyed. I will personally coordinate with trusted relatives on the ground to ensure every peso/euro goes directly to those in need. Even if you cannot donate, sharing this fundraiser can make a huge difference. Thank you for helping my relatives and neighbors recover from this disaster.
