This year has been one of the hardest of my life. It started with a layoff and an eviction notice, and things just kept getting harder from there. I managed to find a new place for myself and my cat, but after paying five months’ rent, a security deposit, and all the bills, my savings are completely gone. Now, with the added daily expense of BART fees for my new job and the urgent need for new glasses, I’m struggling to make ends meet. I started a new job this week that requires me to travel all over the Bay Area, but I won’t see my first paycheck for another week or two. My roommates can’t afford to cover me, and if I can’t come up with December’s rent soon, my cat and I will be homeless come January 1st. I’ve already sold everything I can, and I’m trying to sell a bike frame and a mandolin, but it’s not enough. I hate asking for money—especially since my new job is canvassing for donations to save the environment—but I have nowhere else to turn. If I lose my home, I’ll lose what little I own, the job I fought so hard to get, and, most importantly, I’ll have to give up my cat, who means the world to me. Coming home to her at night is sometimes the only thing that keeps me going. Your support would mean I can keep a roof over our heads, keep my job, and stay together with my cat. Any help, no matter how small, would make a huge difference. Thank you for reading and for any support you can give.

Help Me & My Cat Stay Housed This Winter

We are seeing SF become a ghost town.  The recent closure of the Revolution Cafe, a place for live music and gathering is just one example.  Be a part of keeping old SF alive!  Viva La Mutiny!!   Mutiny Radio's long standing tradition as a place that harbors free speech, diversity, creativity and passion is alive and well.  With a legacy that includes over 250 present and past DJ's, we have played a big part in creating a vibrant and thriving arts and politics culture in the Bay Area.  And with the increasing rents and gentrification of our beloved city, Mutiny Radio continues to be a beacon for all those who are working to keep the arts here alive.  We've been flexing our creative muscles this past year.  Adjusting by producing outdoor events, putting all safety precautions in place for those DJ's that have chosen to continue to come in person, finding donors and investors and because of this hard work and your support, we are so happy to say we are still standing! But as you all know, we are still on the brink and need our community.  Unfortunately we have not been granted any federal help despite all efforts to apply for the grants as they open, so every little donation counts and is so greatly appreciated.  We are a pay to play model. Our only source of income is from our member dues, open mics, rentals and fundraisers, and until that is all back in place,  it is essential that we call on our greater community to help out if you can.  We are really excited with the progress being made to safely reopen our small businesses.  And we can't wait to welcome all of our DJ's back in person when it is safe and they feel confident.   But again, until then, we need you!  All funds raised will go to paying the rent , ongoing bills, renters insurance and an LLP entertainment permit, also ensuring that we have a small cushion to rest on so diverse voices of San Francisco continue  on being heard via our podcast station.  Any amount will go a long way and is greatly appreciated!

Mutiny Radio 2020 - CoVid Relief Fundraiser

G'day folks we hope you are all safe, healthy and happy.  This pandemic has been tough on everyone and unfortunately Benders has been hit hard.  So hard in fact that we find ourselves on the verge of closure due to our endless fixed costs whilst on lockdown.  It's heartbreaking to be at this point where we need help from our regulars, friends and family to keep the doors open (when they let us!)  to your favorite rock'n roll dive bar.  The owners and staff want the honor and absolute pleasure of serving up heaps of booze and tons of rock and roll good times to YOU, the ones we love and appreciate, for many more years to come.  We have some special, LIMITED EDITION schwag for all who donate to help us with our fixed costs!
