Joseph Eiler was an amazing person who always had a smile on his face. Everything he did was for his daughters, and he was devoted to giving them the best life possible. His kindness, warmth, and love for his family touched everyone who knew him.
<br>
<br>
 Tragically, Joseph was taken from us far too soon. He was murdered by the mother of his children, Ashley Averett, leaving his two young daughters without their father and main source of support. In the wake of this unimaginable loss, Joseph's mother is stepping in to care for her granddaughters, determined to provide them with a loving and stable home.
<br>
<br>
 We are raising funds to help Joseph's mother cover the costs of giving Joseph the funeral he deserves and to support his daughters as they adjust to life without their dad. Your generosity will help ensure the girls can stay with their grandmother and have the resources they need during this difficult time. Please consider donating or sharing this fundraiser—every bit of support means the world to Joseph's family.

Support Joseph Eiler's Daughters & Memorial

Friday, March 13th, 2026 at 10:30 pm, my amazing and one and only sister, Melissa, was gunned down and shot to death by an insecure, jealous ex-boyfriend. She left behind two kids, had just become a grandma barely a year ago, and leaves our mother and me grieving her loss. Melissa was such an amazing, outgoing, generous, and compassionate person. She never judged anyone and would help a stranger even if she wasn't in a place to do so herself. She'd do just about anything to help you out—that's the kind of person she was.
<br>
<br>
 I want to keep that mindset alive. Even though she isn't here anymore, I want to continue moving forward with what I know not only she'd do, but what she'd be proud of, and how she deserves to be remembered. We could definitely use and would greatly appreciate any support, as obviously this isn't something anybody could be prepared for. Your help will allow us to take care of her funeral arrangements, as well as make sure her bills and any other financial obligations are handled, so they don't become a burden or headache for someone else. Knowing Melissa, that's definitely not something she'd want to put on anybody.
<br>
<br>
 With your support, we hope to pay it forward by getting into a better situation, so we can honor her and carry on her name and the type of person she was. We want to help those who really need it, just as she always did, and make a genuine change in their lives—all while doing it with her in mind, so that she'll continue to live on and truly make a difference. Melissa was and is loved by so many. She may be gone for now, but we're trying to make sure she's never forgotten. We love you, Melissa. Watch over us, and we'll see you again someday...

Honoring Melissa's Memory & Supporting Her Family

<div>Hello! My name is Alyssa and I am attempting to raise funds to help my grandpa offset medical costs and try to buy essentials after a devasting house fire.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>On April 13th, 2025, my grandpa's house caught on fire and he suffered 2nd and 3rd degree burns on his legs, hands, face, and back. He is currently undergoing a series of surgery's, being treated for smoke inhalation and getting skin grafts.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>My grandpa served 20 years in the air force and he lost absolutely everything.
</div>
<div>His best friend (David Snook) who he served with in the Air Force unfortunately was in the house as well and passed away during the house fire.
</div>
<div>
</div>
<div><strong>This GoFundMe will be a major help to get my grandpa back in a place and get back to normal as he recovers over the coming months. </strong>
