Help Us Raise $15,000 by August 31, 2026 Help Us Build a Better Future—One Student at a Time Fundraising Goal: $15,000 Deadline: August 31, 2026 For more than two decades, education has been more than a career for me—it has been a calling. I began serving students as an educator in January 2004, and I am now entering my 19th non-consecutive school year of educational service. After a brief tenure in law enforcement, I quickly realized that my purpose was to continue changing lives—not primarily through corrections, but through education, mentorship, and opportunity. After years of serving as a long-term substitute teacher and paraprofessional educator, I committed myself to a full-time teaching career in 2015. Through my experiences in alternative schools, public schools, charter schools, and small private Christian schools, I witnessed both the tremendous potential of students and the achievement gaps that continue to affect families and communities. Those experiences became the foundation for something bigger. From Vision to Reality In 2020, I founded T.H. Business & Social Science Education Inc., an educational consulting organization focused on inspiring and helping train educators. From 2023–2025, I continued developing this vision through my performing arts screenplay, “The Pursuit of Better Green,” which became a larger vision for combining education, character, faith, perseverance, and real-world application. By April 2026, I decided it was time to do something different to get different results. I began investing my own time, resources, and faith into creating Better Green Academy Inc. On August 3, 2026, we opened our doors by faith with our first seven students. Today, we are asking our community to help us keep that vision moving forward. Our $15,000 Goal We are seeking to raise $15,000 by August 31, 2026 to help Better Green Academy continue operating and serving students while we pursue additional grants, scholarships, accreditation, and funding opportunities. Why Your Support Matters Better Green Academy was created to provide students with an environment where they are not defined by where they are academically today. We believe in meeting students where they are and helping them get where they need to be. Our program incorporates HMH Education and Abeka Christian curriculum, faith-based character development, Wednesday Chapel Services, Coach John Wooden’s Pyramid of Success, horticulture and agriculture, the Pareto Method, videography, performing arts, hands-on field learning, individualized academic support, and transportation assistance. We are working toward completing the necessary accreditation and approval processes to accept Georgia Promise Scholarships and special-needs scholarship funding for eligible students.
