</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
 Darin saßen 11 winzige Welpen, wahrscheinlich gerade einmal vier bis sechs Wochen alt.
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
 Zum Glück waren alle Tests negativ.
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
Unser Team kastriert durchschnittlich etwa 50 Hunde und Katzen pro Woche, damit möglichst wenige ungewollte Würfe überhaupt erst in solchen Situationen enden.
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
</div>
<div>

</div>

</div>
<div>
 Around noon today, one of our visitors came back to our shelter and told us we needed to come with him. He had found some puppies outside by the road.
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
 We followed him down our driveway and a short distance along the main road. Before we could even see the puppies, we could hear them.
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
 Loud crying coming from two plastic crates sitting in the sun by the side of the road.
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
 Inside were 11 tiny puppies, probably only around four to six weeks old.
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
 Someone had left them there, only about 20 meters from the end of our driveway, and simply disappeared.
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
 We immediately got them out of the sun and brought them to the entrance of our shelter. They were already getting quite hot. While we got a first look at their condition, we coordinated with our vet team on how to safely proceed.
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
 A short while later, we brought them into our treatment room, where Dr. Sith examined all of them. Our biggest concern was parvovirus, a highly contagious disease that can be especially dangerous for young puppies. In a shelter with several hundred dogs, it is something we have to take extremely seriously.
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
 Thankfully, all of their tests were negative.
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
 The puppies were dewormed, treated for ticks and fleas and given puppy food and goat milk. Then we had to figure out where we could suddenly put 11 additional puppies.
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
 Our shelter is full, so we moved two dogs from our puppy house to our other location in Chaweng to make room. And by a lucky coincidence, two visitors had donated new dog beds to us today, which we could immediately use for the puppies.
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
 Then we got some really good news: two of the puppies were adopted that same day by a friend of one of our Thai staff members.
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
 So of the 11 puppies we found in two plastic crates around noon, nine remained with us for their first night.
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
 For now, they all seem relatively stable. They have eaten, had their goat milk and our volunteers are regularly checking on them. Tonight, they are safe and fed. Now our job is to care for them over the coming weeks and months and hopefully find a home for every one of them.
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
 Our shelter is funded exclusively by donations. One can of puppy food costs around 60 Baht (about €1.60) and currently feeds two to three of them for a day. But they are growing quickly, and so will their appetites. On top of that, there is goat milk, vaccinations, deworming, medical care and eventually their spay and neuter procedures.
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
 That is why we would initially like to raise €2,500 to help us care for them.
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
 If they find homes within a few weeks, that would of course be the best possible outcome. If it takes months, we will care for them for as long as they need us. If we raise more than we need for these nine puppies, every additional euro will go directly toward caring for the other animals at our shelter.
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
 What happened today is also another reminder of why spaying and neutering is such an important part of our work. Our team spays and neuters around 50 dogs and cats every week, because preventing unwanted litters is one of the best ways to stop more animals from ending up in situations like this.
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
 At noon today, 11 little puppies were sitting in two plastic crates in the sun. Tonight, two already have homes and nine are sleeping safe and fed in our puppy house.
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
 If you would like to help us care for them, we are grateful for every donation. Sharing this GoFundMe also helps us tremendously. ❤️

9 Welpen brauchen uns - 9 Puppies Need Our Help

<span style="color:rgb(51,51,51);">Hi everyone, <br /><br />During our travels we have been lucky enough to find the most incredible dog sanctuary, home to just over 160 critically injured dogs and 17 cats in need. We had spent just one day volunteering at this rescue before cancelling our flight and plans and deciding to stay longer. This place is so much more than just a shelter and already holds such a special place in our hearts. Sadly, Jeff’s landlord has informed him that he is selling the land the shelter sits on. We are kindly reaching out in hopes to raise as much money as we possibly can for the funding of this place.

In Langkawi Malaysia, dogs are extremely mistreated by the locals. Some purposely hit by cars, locals shooting them with a bow and arrow, leaving them for dead. They are poisoned and badly beaten. A recent rescue of Jeff’s was a dog who wondered just outside a restaurant which resulted in the owner grabbing a hot pan of oil and pouring it all over him, resulting in horrendous injuries and him losing his eye.<br /><br />Due to Jeff’s no kill policy, in the 17 years that Jeff has been rescuing these animals, he has only ever had to euthanise two dogs. The rest live safely, peacefully and happily in Jeff’s care. There are no words to describe how amazing Jeff is. He is a living angel and we are totally in awe of him and the work he does for animals. He has even offered us a home until we decide to leave. Jeff is a one man band and has quite literally given up his life, freedom and savings for the safety and wellbeing of the dogs and cats. Jeff works tirelessly day in day out. His days consist of administrating medication to some dogs, preparing 80kg of food each day and serving, cleaning all the stations after feed, clearing all the poo. He then performs hydrotherapy on the handicapped dogs in hopes they will walk again. For many of the dogs this has been successful. There are constant renovation projects that are put off until he has enough volunteers to help complete them. His days start from as early as 5am and he won’t eat a single thing until 9pm when all his duties are done, even then he does not fully rest.
If the animals are not adopted overseas they will not only be looked after but loved eternally and remain in Jeff’s care for the foreseeable. As you can imagine it never gets easier when one sadly doesn’t make it. <br /><br />Jeff’s landlord plans to sell the land the sanctuary sits on and has given him until December 2024 to move off of the land. Without the funds to buy new land Jeff and the animals will be without a home. The animals will go back to the same suffering they were rescued from. Not only does he have the worry of what he will do when this happens but also the worry of the day to day costs that is associated with this kind of work. Food alone costs Jeff 22,000 MYR a month which is equivalent to just over £3500. Medication and supplements cost 4000 MYR (£670) Rabies vaccination for each dog being 80 MYR (£14 per dog). Any additional vaccination being 100 MYR (£16). This is without mentioning extremely expensive veterinary costs, rent, water &amp; electricity etc.

<br /><br />We are desperately trying to raise money to save this shelter and buy new land. We are kindly asking for any donations, as much as you can even if it is £1 or a share of our fundraiser. We would be so grateful!

<div>**UPDATE: I AM INCREASING MY MATCH FROM €10,000 TO €15,000**
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>## EVERY DONATION DOUBLED: My Birthday Wish for Koh Samui’s Rescue Animals
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>**Deutscher Text weiter unten **
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I originally promised to personally match donations up to €10,000. After seeing how many people have supported this campaign, I have decided to increase my commitment.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>**I will now match every donation made by October 8, euro for euro, up to €15,000 of my own money.**
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>That means:
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>**You donate €25 → the shelter receives €50**
</div>
<div>**You donate €100 → the shelter receives €200**
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>If we raise €15,000 together, I will add another €15,000, giving the shelter a total of **€30,000**.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Since March 2026, I have been actively involved with the Dog and Cat Rescue Samui Foundation in Thailand. The team cares for hundreds of dogs and cats every day, providing food, medical treatment, safety and, whenever possible, a new home.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>A few months ago, a new property was donated to the shelter. This gives the team a wonderful opportunity to expand its work and create new facilities with more space, better structures and calmer living areas for the animals. The land is there, but funds are now needed to turn this opportunity into reality.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>My goal is to help develop the new property in a way that improves the quality of care and reduces stress for the animals, especially those that may spend many years at the shelter.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>For my 40th birthday, this is the present I am asking for.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I often talk about karma and the idea that the good we put into the world eventually finds its way forward. If our paths have crossed over the years, please join me in turning this birthday into something lasting for animals that need our help.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Every donation made by October 8 will be doubled until my personal contribution reaches **€15,000**. Any donations beyond the matching limit will, of course, still support the shelter and its animals.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>**Every €1 becomes €2. Together, we now have the chance to raise €30,000 for the shelter.**
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Whether you donate or simply share this fundraiser, your support would be a meaningful birthday gift to me.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>---
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>**UPDATE: ICH ERHÖHE MEINEN BEITRAG VON 10.000 € AUF 15.000 €**
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>## JEDE SPENDE WIRD VERDOPPELT: Mein Geburtstagswunsch für Samuis gerettete Tiere
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Das bedeutet:
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>**Du spendest 25 € → das Tierheim erhält 50 €**
</div>
<div>**Du spendest 100 € → das Tierheim erhält 200 €**
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Zu meinem 40.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Danke!
