<div>On the 2nd May 2026 myself, Jack, and a large group of our close friends are taking on a walk from Marske to Whitby - 21miles, roughly 8 hours of walking - to raise money and awareness for prostate cancer.

<div>Back in August, Jack’s dad, Ian, was diagnosed, and it completely turned our worlds upside down. Like so many families, we were suddenly faced with something we never expected, and it’s been a tough journey ever since.

<div>We’ve decided to take on this challenge not only to support Ian, but to help raise awareness of prostate cancer and give something back to those fighting it every day. Every donation, no matter how big or small, will make a real difference.

Marske to Whitby walk for prostate cancer

<div>This is Seren. Seren is 9 years old and on the 14th February 2025, she was diagnosed with a malignant brain tumour.
</div>
<div>Seren lives in Marske-by-the-sea, a village in northeast England, with her Mum, Lindsay, dad Stephen and her three siblings , Libby 14, Milo 11 and Marnie 7.
</div>
<div>With Lindsay and Stephen's permission we, as one of Seren's aunties and uncles, have decided to set up a go fund me page to help raise funds to support them though this difficult time.
</div>
<div>Seren has spent 1 week as an inpatient at the Royal Victoria Infirmary in Newcastle, where she had treatment to reduce the swelling and also had a biopsy of the tumour taken.
</div>
<div>Seren will need to undergo radiotherapy treatment for 6 weeks which will split the family up again as the treatment will be at the Freeman hospital in Newcastle.
</div>
<div>The coming months will be difficult as the family will need to split themselves between home and Newcastle.  We would like to make sure that they don't need to worry about money.  Bills still need to be paid, food bought and travel expenses to Newcastle will be expensive.
</div>
<div>We want to make sure the children at home have as normal a life as possible, no matter how difficult that could be, and to all have ongoing support in the future.
</div>
<div>We know times are tight for everyone so any help you can give would be greatly appreciated.  If you can't help financially simply sharing on your own social media would be fantastic.
