<div>I am Ameen Alfarra. I live in khan younis, Gaza and I study engineering at Al Azhar university in Gaza. I am 20 years old yet I have no way to continue my education due to the insane bombardment of Gaza by the Israeli army. The IDF completely destroyed my family’s home and burned it to ashes. It took us 15 years to save and build our home bit by bit. We’ve been running from place to place after losing every pathway to existence including food, water, and shelter.

I have lived in Gaza in the middle of recurring wars for many years. My family and I have been living in this difficult suffering. Now we have a very brutal war and genocide in Gaza with the killing of children, women, the elderly and the young, and the demolition of the buildings of the Gaza Strip in which we live. My house was affected by 80 percent and I no longer have the ability to live in Gaza. I want to travel to a safe country. I need all of your help to create a future for my children again. It has been 6 months and we have been displaced in the city of Rafah. These small tents are hot during the day and cold at night. We are suffering a lot. We have diseases. My children are at risk. Yes, I love my family and I would love for them to be where they have a future outside Palestine. There will be no education for children for many years. The Gaza Strip is destroyed and the schools are all destroyed. I want the children to have a bright future. We are living as displaced persons in these tents and have to endure a lot. Our prices are 20 times the real price. Polluted water has made us very tired and sick due to the lack of availability. Food causes us very severe complications. I hope that my meaning is understood well. Everyone of you has heard about the suffering of the people of Gaza from this war. I am one of these people who are suffering. 

My family consists of 6 members, and leaving Gaza costs almost all of my family members 43,000 euros/$65000 CAD. In order for us to be able to leave Gaza, we must pay an amount of approximately 5,000 euros for each person from the Rafah land crossing, and pay for the visa and travel tickets, approximately 10,000 euros. I must have a minimum of 3,000 euros in my hand to book hotels and provide meals for us when traveling.<br /><br />How You Can Help:

Since October seventh, there has been a significant change in my life! The war started on Gaza, and the bad and sad things are starting to happen and dramatically raised.

<div>My house was hit by an air attack, but we were fortunate enough to escape unscathed! Later on, we were displaced to the south of Gaza, and the war started to destroy the entire city.

After reaching south Gaza, my family and I faced a huge suffering, first of all we were searching for a safe place to spend our first night there, we were lucky to have friends to help us. The suffering became much worse when we found ourselves in a hunger situation due to the siege and a shortage of drinking water with no electricity.

<div>And sadly, all that is happening in the current century. But none of that is comparable to the amount of destruction and loss in lives and harsh bombing especially at night.

<div>I remember one of those nights, midnight on February 12th, 2024. We woke up to massive explosions and thought it was the end of our lives. And what broke my heart, when I saw my kids in an unbelievable situation of fear, shaking hands and bodies, and I can't do anything to save them but hug them, and wait for that crazy bombing to end. The fear that I felt in my children's eyes is still present in my memory. It was an unforgettable night.

<div>A few days later, the army began to declare threats against Rafah city, which is currently the most densely populated city.
</div>

</div>
<div>And now, unfortunately, we don't have a place to go. As a father, all I care about is the safety of my family and their future, and unfortunately none of that is available after destroying hospitals, schools, universities and all kinds of civilian life in Gaza because of the war.
</div>

<div>So we made the hard decision to depart from Gaza and start a new life literally from zero. But leaving Gaza is not that easy, the Egyptian authority asks us to pay <strong>5 thousand dollars</strong> for each person who wants to only cross the border, and after 7 months of genocide war and losing all sources of my income, we found ourselves not able to pay that amount of money. So we humbly request your aid in achieving that objective.
