WAIS Families,
We would like to provide an update to all of you who have donated to help Leonel's family during this time. After a battle in hospice care, Leonel passed away last week with his family by his side. His family would like us to share that his service will be held tomorrow at 9:00am at Mount Olivet Cemetery, 12801 W. 44th Avenue in Wheatridge. Leonel's parents, Frida Castaneda and Jesus Rodriguez, would like to thank everyone who has donated and helped over the past few months. Your thoughts and prayers are deeply appreciated.
Leonel is a 5-year-old kindergarten student at Westminster Academy for International Studies. He is a friendly, funny, and extremely sweet boy who loves his family, Transformers, and Mickey Mouse. Early in Leonel's life, he developed a malignant brain tumor, and later developed an additional one that is now terminal. Leonel has been placed on hospice care and his loving family is preparing for painful times in the near future. With lots of medical expenses over the years, the family, including Leonel's parents Frida Castaneda and Jesus Rodriguez, is now challenged with planning for more expenses since Leonel's cancer is terminal. His loved ones are now soley focused on making him happy and comfortable. The PTO at Leonel's school would like to raise money to support the family during this difficult time.
