About 2 years ago, Yaniv Habari received a devastating diagnosis; stage 4 lung cancer with spread to the brain. Multiple hospitalizations, chemotherapy, several brain surgeries and radiation ensued. The treatment seemed to work and for a brief time Yaniv seemed back to himself, even returning to work. But unfortunately Yaniv's medical condition deteriorated, his brain tumor continues to grow resulting in seizures and paralyzing the left side of his body. Despite Yaniv’s recent 3rd brain surgery and various medications, his condition has continued to worsen.
These last few months have been particularly hard for the Habaris. Yaniv is dependent on home health care and close supervision to avoid falls and to do daily tasks. Yaniv lost his income last year and Margo has continued to work full time, trying to support Yaniv while caring for their two children. But even with support of family and friends, the Habaris have reached a critical point. Their funds are running out. Medical bills and loss of income are overwhelming their day to day life.
Yaniv continues to fight against all odds. The family’s resilience, strength and spirits are strong, but they need the help of our community.
Please help us support them and remind them that they are loved and valued.
