Sustainable Stagecraft is a nonprofit founded by three passionate theatre students from Sage Creek High School who believe that creativity and sustainability can go hand in hand. Our program produces student-led musical productions using props, sets, and costumes made entirely from upcycled and recycled materials.
As we see our city’s overflowing landfills begin to impact the beautiful beaches of San Diego, we feel called to make a difference within one of the largest communities we know and love: theatre. Through Sustainable Stagecraft, we aim to inspire a new, more environmentally responsible theatre culture, one that prioritizes reuse and recycling while continuing to celebrate artistic expression. With your support, we can help protect our beaches, empower young artists, and prove that meaningful change can begin on stage.
