Emergency Veterinary bills for Ruby’s diabetes

Donation protected
On September 1st, 2020, my cat Ruby was rushed to emergency care at a local animal hospital after her vet diagnosed ketoacidosis, a serious condition that is the result of prolonged diabetes. Although in hindsight I could see all of the signs of it, Ruby never showed symptoms of being sick or having diabetes until very recently, prompting me to take her to the vet.

Ruby is 10 years old and is the sweetest, gentlest cat you will ever meet. She loves belly rubs and to sit by the window to stare out at birds. I want to have many many more years with this dear, beautiful cat.

Most people who know me would never think that I would start a fundraiser for my pet, but I feel that I don't have much of a choice. As of today, my veterinary bills have come to $9,291, and she is still being treated at the hospital at this moment. There is also the long term care for a diabetic cat that I also have to take into consideration.

These expenses have come very suddenly during this pandemic that never seems to want to end, and I am hoping that through your generosity, my friends and family, you can help me help Ruby.
