Unleashed Pit Bull named Bruno attacked my Dog

Hi Neighbors, Friends, and Family,

My small dog, whose name is Angel, was recently attacked approximately 3 weeks ago by an "unleashed" Pit Bull. Angel is a 16-year-old small Malti-poo. We were entering the gates of my complex, and out of nowhere, an "unleashed" Pit Bull came running towards us. The Pit Bull went immediately for my dog's neck and wouldn't let go. I was screaming, kicking, and trying to push the dog away. No matter what I did, the Pit Bull would not let go. Eventually, a man on a bike arrived and pulled his dog, "Bruno," off of my dog. When I asked for information, he said that he needed to get an inhaler for his asthma. Needless to say, I was terrified and scared and wanted to get Angel home. I took Angel to the veterinarian to get checked over, and there were wounds on her neck. One of the wounds had a puncture directly on the front of her neck that needed to be treated to avoid infection. With various medications, neck treatment, and doctor fees, I have incurred costs up to $1000. This is the first time I have ever done a "GoFundMe" page. Angel is slowly recovering, but not quite the same. FYI, my sweet Angel has also been suffering from a chronic kidney condition for the past year.
