Un riñón para Javier

Donation protected

Juntos, podemos lograrlo.

Hello, my name is Javier. I am 30 years old, and until a month ago, I was fully enjoying my life with my wife and our 3-year-old daughter. However, in mid-January, everything changed. I started feeling extremely tired, had no appetite, and developed a severe cough. At first, we thought it was due to the cold weather we were experiencing in San Antonio, Texas, where we had just moved on January 4th for a job opportunity.

On February 1st, my health took a drastic turn for the worse. I was struggling to breathe, my cough was unbearable, and I could barely walk. When my wife got home from work, we checked my oxygen levels and saw they were dangerously low, fluctuating between 68 and 40. Without hesitation, we rushed to the hospital.

I was admitted to the emergency room in the early hours of February 2nd, unaware that my life was about to take a complete 360-degree turn. After multiple tests, the doctors confirmed what we feared: pneumonia. However, what we never expected was to discover the real cause behind it all—END-STAGE KIDNEY FAILURE.

The diagnosis was devastating. They immediately had to place an emergency catheter to start hemodialysis, as my body could no longer filter toxins on its own. I was admitted to intermediate care, with critical levels in my system. Each new test confirmed the inevitable: I NEED A KIDNEY TRANSPLANT TO STAY ALIVE.

In San Antonio, we couldn’t afford the hemodialysis sessions, which cost between $1,000 and $3,000 each. In Mexico, we have a medical insurance plan, but unfortunately, we were informed that it will not cover the preliminary tests, which are part of the transplant protocol, nor the surgery and hospital expenses for the donor.

For this reason, we have created this page in the hope of receiving your support.

From the bottom of my heart, I am infinitely grateful for any help, whether through a donation or simply by sharing my story. Every bit of support brings me one step closer to my goal: giving myself a second chance at life.

Thank you for your support and solidarity. Together, we can make this possible.
